Hi my name is Denise Banks; I am a 54 yr old African American woman, who just happens to be a first time home buyer! As a matter of fact, I am the first in my family to buy a home. I would never have thought in a million years that this dream would ever come true, but it has, and I owe it all too a few things in my life:

 

 

To make a long story short, while reading through the Sunday paper, I ran across an article about a first time home buyer seminar that was being held in the city of Surprise. It was free, and I thought “why not, it’s not costing me anything, just time.” Well, I went to that seminar and it was one of the best things that have happened to me in a long time. The Mortgage Advisor, Rhett Laufenburger, gave me information on the credit report and buying a home. The seminar was inspirational! I called Rhett the following day and told him I was tired of renting and wanted to buy a house. His reply was “ok let’s make this happen for you Denise.” Needless to say there was a small obstacle along the way with people losing their jobs and the cut back in hours, but Rhett never gave up on my dream. Rhett helped me close on my first home May 17. Thank You Rhett for believing and never giving up, you are a Godsend.
